Early case assessment tools and culling processes produce a dataset of potentially responsive documents that are then reviewed for a final selection of relevant or responsive documents and assertation of privilege exception as appropriate. Hosted review enables the culled dataset to be accessed via PC or other terminal device via a local network or remotely via the internet. The hosted review process is facilitated by specialized software which allows multiple reviewers, security, search and retrieval, document coding, redaction and privilege logging.

  • MeatLINCS is an early case assessment tool that allows you to process and cull your dataset prior to production and, if needed, export to a review platform for further analysis. Upon ingestion of your information, your dataset is automatically de-duplicated and grouped into categories. These categories could include topics, email addresses and key phrases, among others. After your data is ingested, your dataset can be further culled down by individual users. Utilizing tools such as customized scripts for privilege and spam, pinpoint searching, date range and email thread analysis will allow a user to customize their search for relevant information. A technology process that translates and converts printed matter on an image into a format that a computer can manipulate (ASCII codes, for example) and, therefore, renders that matter text searchable. Advanced OCR Systems can read text in a large variety of formats, but still have difficulty with handwritten text. OCR technology relies upon the quality of the imaged material, the conversion accuracy of the software and the quality control process. This process is generally acknowledged to be between 80 and 99 percent accurate.
